63. Go horse back riding

See my 101 in 1001.

This summer, as I was doing some program planning, I was brainstorming on field trips that would not only be fun and exciting for my youth to experience, but would also be a bit beyond the norm for them. They all go to the museums during the school year, and water parks were out of the question (too much liability). Pastor suggested horseback riding, the best idea ever! My my goodness did we have a good time. Of the 30 or so youth (and 5 staff) that I took, I believe there was only 1 family of 3 school-aged brothers who had ever ridden a horse before. My parents took me horse back riding for my 13th birthday, so it wasn't a first for me, but it was the first time Id seen so much joy in the faces of my youth. Their eyes lit up with so much excitement they couldn't even eat. Even the one cutest little boy who was, at first, scared to ride but eventually rode(shout out to AJ). This was fun that many of these children may not have other wise experienced. This is why I do what I do.

Task complete!
