Voicemail Ettiquette

I don't know what it is about voicemails, but I hate checking them. I think it has a lot to do with the following things that I believe should be common knowledge amongst all adults, more specifically, those in professional business settings. The following are my top 3 voicemail pet peeves.
  • I hate when people leave their call back number, but say it too fast or so inaudibly that it cannot be understood. No returned call for you.
  • I hate when people wait til AFTER the beep then decide not to leave a message. If you're not gonna leave a message, hang up before the beep.
  • I hate when people leave a message saying, "It's important!" when it's really not. Please note that the word "important" now lacks significance when it emanates from your lips.
Is it just me? Or do you have voicemail pet peeves as well?

The 30 Day Letter Challenge
Day 30 — Your reflection in the mirror

Your beauty is not reflected in a mirror. Your beauty is reflected in the lives of the people who's hearts you touch.

30 Day Challenge - Day 29: The person you want to tell everything to, but too afraid to

The 30 Day Letter Challenge
Day 29 — The person that you want to tell everything to, but too afraid to
I'm not afraid to tell you anything. Sometimes, some things are better left unsaid, but I would never lie to you.

30 Day Challenge - Day 28: Someone that changed your life

The 30 Day Letter Challenge
Day 28 — Someone that changed your life
I believe that every person with whom I cross paths, for whatever reason and for whatever length of time, happens with purpose, and it is up to me to find that purpose, learn from it, and grow. With that being said, there have been a number of people who have played their parts in the development of LaSondra.

You helped me learn discipline.
You helped me learn r
espect.

You helped me learn how to defend myself.
You helped me learn how to stand up for myself.
You helped me learn to be me.
You helped me learn to love.
You helped me learn to BE loved.

Thanks for DEVELOPing my life.

30 Day Challenge - Day 27: The friendliest person you knew for only one day

The 30 Day Letter Challenge
Day 27 — The friendliest person you knew for only one day
Thanks for helping me and not harassing me. I don't know you or anything about you, but my heart tells me that you know Jesus. It is my prayer that others see the Jesus in me that I was able to see in you.

Blessings.

30 Day Challenge - Day 26: The last person you made a pinky promise to

Day 26 — The last person you made a pinky promise to
Seriously? I can't remember the last time I did that, if ever. But let's talk about promises.
Promises are made to be broken. Sometimes they are broken on purpose. Sometimes they are broken due to negligence. Sometimes they are broken for reasons beyond our control. But they are made to be broken, so don't hold your breath. If you've ever promised me anything, chances are I didn't 100% depend on that. If I ever promised you anything, I hope you know that it is my full intent to keep that promise, but only time will tell.

The only promises that are guaranteed to hold up are the promises of God. He cannot lie. Stand on that.

30 Day Challenge - Day 25: The person you know that is going through the worst of times

The 30 Day Letter Challenge

Day 25 — The person you know that is going through the worst of times
It could be worse #shrug

But the Bible says in Romans chapter 8, all who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God (v. 14). And since we are His children, we are His heirs; together with Christ, we are heirs to God's glory, but if we are to share in God's glory, we must also share in His suffering (v.17). However! What we suffer now is NOTHING compared to the glory He will reveal to us later (v.18).

So suffer on my friend, fro Christ's sake. Your reward lies ahead.

Grown-up Christmas List

I could go on for days listing all the things I wanted for Christmas as a child, but as an adult, Christmas becomes so simple. It's always been about Christ (although most retailers "X" the Christ out and celebrate "X-mas"). And while we make our lists of things we want to get and things we want to give, my list this year is quite simple. Yeah, I want a better credit score. Yeah I want better pay. Yeah I want a better place to stay. I want BETTER! But if I had some sum up my wish list in one word, that world would be love. I want to give love and receive love. So whatever you give this Christmas, give it in love. And whatever you receive this Christmas, receive it in love

Now, while I'm working on my credit score, pay, and place to stay, I'm trying get a loving Wii for Christmas so I can play these games:
